Just had an email from RC in reply for one I sent wishing him a happy birthday. He and Mrs RC have had what sounds like an excellent day out at the seaside to mark the occasion

Well there's the Tuesday fish supper cooked & consumed, followed by stewed apple & custard.

This bramley wasn't afflicted with the brown bits that Sunday's had.

            For which, much thanks.

Richard Cranium? or some other RC of whom I am unaware?

Mr Cranium himself - his birthday usually falls on the Summer Solstice, though not this year

First route completed. Turned out to be 14 miles which is, as the present Mrs Barry reminded me frequently, greater than the 11 I had estimated. Oh well. In other news, the rubber on my boot soles has utterly deteriorated. Not sure how, but it's new boots time so a trip to Gaynor sports in Ambleside is in order.
