          Home!

The local traffic is appalling once again - not sure why

Ah, there was an accident up the road and they had to close it in both directions, which is Not Good given that it's the main road in and out of the city from this direction. Re-opened about ten-to-six, so it'll take a while for things to get back to normal

Pleasantly surprised to discover I still remember a lot of Chef-related stuff, despite not having touched it in nearly a year

That's Chef the system configuration management tool, not the TV programme with Lenny Henry

I wonder what delights the drive east will hold today? Yesterday saw two separate instances of vehicles broken down at major junctions, in both cases not in the inside lane.

It was also very busy around the A141, possibly due to all the temporary signage pointing the way to the Cereals Show, which I imagine is to do with arable crops rather than being some hipster pop-up cafe-type-thing from Shoreditch. People in gaiters standing around various displays of stocks and sheaves discussing the merits of different varieties of cultivated grass, one imagines
