It was on target to be a record time getting back, until I got to the motorway junction. They were queuing back on to the motorway. It took about twenty minutes to get down the slip road, which is 200 yards.
Then the traffic towards town was horrendous. There's been a torrential downpour here, judging by the standing water everywhere. The traffic outside is still really bad.
So, basically, it took about 75 minutes to travel 67 miles; and about forty minutes to do the last three miles
Had a beer while watching an episode of The Sweeney in which Regan got beaten up several times while undercover, and various people were shot while clambering around the gantries of a chemical plant.
