    Home!

For the first time, as far as I can recall, I managed to leave ClientCo on the stroke of half four. Turns out leaving a few minutes earlier makes a difference in the evening, too - I was home by five to six

Got mine in at the weekend, or it may have been late last week, or earlier this week. Whenever it was I definitely did it, so that's OK

Ah, it was on Bank Holiday Monday, which is why I was getting confused as to whether it had been a weekend or a weekday

Remember it's half term so traffic isn't normal.

                  I've noticed it's half term.

The train home is full of kids.

Ah, that'll explain why ms#5's at home.

Even so, there's a huge difference between getting to the two A14-A1 junctions by five, as I did today, or after five, as I have done every other day this week. A lot of the congestion is due to the number of lorries, which probably doesn't vary much during school holidays; and once commuter traffic is added to the mix, it all grinds to a halt along there anyway. Probably the only difference at half-term is whether the queue stretches all the way back to Cambridge, or just as far as Fenstanton - but I'm joining a couple of junctions south-east of Huntingdon, and the queue always reaches to there anyway
