Turns out Theakston's Old Peculier makes for an exceptionally nice casserole. Even better, there's half the bottle left now to wash it down with
It's teeming down out there, so staying in here with a good ale or two and a good film sounds like a good ideaComment

Having forgotten that the appropriate receptacle is, in fact, a jam pot, I have installed the flowers from this morning in some ancient glasses that came free with gallons of oil back in the 1970s.
I shall need to take some more tomorrow since I could only fit the daffs in the two I took up there today.
I think I'll use a couple or 3 pickled onion jars.
Much more fitting.Comment

Still tipping down out there. The forecast babbles of snow first thing in the morning
Anyway, another earlyish start this (well, last) morning means I'm ready for another earlyish night. GoodnightComment

Morning all.
Since it's Saturday, I woke up like a lark at 5 to 6.
Turned the wireless on to find Eddie Mair doing his comedy act, so turned it off again.
Can't stand that twunt.Comment
