Morning denizens

Terrible night's sleep, with weird dreams waking me up quite frequently, until I finally decided to get up around eight. Then, of course, I immediately went out like a light and now, finally, feel somewhat rested

It was, I think, sunny earlier; but to celebrate my arising, it's now gone all overcast

I've found in the past that oven chips have curious off flavours that I find offensive.

Spoil the chianti & fava beans.

I avoid oven chips - yesterday's chips were made by my usual long-winded process, with Maris Pipers from Norfolk. I'm tempted to say that the Lincolnshire's I had the other week just edge these spuds out in the golden crispiness stakes, but it's a close run thing
