Thankfully I didn't get invited to the do this year.

Unfortunately I do have a departmental dinner which I cannot wangle out of, but decided to make the most of it and "help" choose the venue!

Sadly it's the downstairs restaurant of the 2* place I go to but the food is good.

Still trying to sort out the main prize from this cookery competition I won in October. Which was supposed to be x amount of kitchen equipment. Having already furnished a kitchen with brand new equipment when I put in a new kitchen, newer stuff wasn't needed.

Got an e-mail inviting me to come to their showroom to pick out some kitchen equipment which is practically in Germany, and a right old trek given we don't have a car anymore.
Found summat that was of interest, a wine fridge, finally got agreement that they would go for it and now it turns out they don't have a free standing version.

The intention was to stick it in the garage, it's not possible to put a built in cupboard there at all.

Now we're back to square one.
