    Afternoon denizens

Very today. My throat is excruciating

Bad luck there. This is why one should always leave late

I kept having curious communications from HMRC re my benefits.

It turned out that the accountants had misinterpreted one of my more obscure letters to mean that I was making myself redundant.

They didn't seem to find this odd when I got another contract about 3 weeks later.

Naturally enough I didn't know they'd sent a P45 to the dole office.

Hot toddy with whisky, lemon, and honey.

I put my back out loading the car last evening after shopping at Tesco.

            Thankfully someone invented ibuprofen.

Well there's this week's washing done & this week's lamb bought.

The washing machine seemed unusually cooperative.

And the modifications to the ZeitLeakyWashingMachineScavengePump(tm) seem to have been rather successful.

              Which is gratifying.

Much better than having gallons of hot soapy water sloshing over the kitchen floor.

M$ seem to be of the opinion that I should reserve a "free" copy of Windoze10 for this Win7 box.

It's so fecking slow that I'd guess Win10 would make it seize up altogether.

Conundrum: bend knees to save damaging back: knees hurt too.

I'm fecked, completely fecked, and not in a good way.

Though rather better than my mate who's having a new gasfire installed & has discovered that they've got to make the hole in the wall bigger.

I'm not sure how much bigger, but it sounds a tad inconvenient.

Unfortunately, I'd need to go to the shops to get the ingredients, and I don't really feel ready for that yet

Maybe later, when I've got my head together. Though by then the rain will probably have arrived

At least you're not in Cumbria - then your feet would be wet, too
