        Sadly not, because the browser has no way of knowing that the images over there are smilies that correspond to particular smiley codes, or indeed that the text area on which you drop them is going to be treated as BB code.

                Also, one problem is that both variants would have to be supported in order for old posts to be displayed correctly; and as we have both :eek and :eek: any attempt to support both would fall at the first hurdle
