Well there we are, the next piece of crap to go wrong is the land line.

Broadband is still working but the phone is as dead as a dodo.

Found another one (my fax machine of immortal memory) and that gets no dial tone either.

Whereas taking the phone to an unconnected but still live ntl socket proves that the phone at least generates noise & tones when you press the buttons.

Ho hum.

I wonder how long I'll be on the phone to BT for.
