Home again after the funeral, and refreshments afterwards in the pub.
We filed out of the crematorium chapel to the dulcet tones of Smash It Up by The Damned
And the service had also featured Always Look on the Bright Side of Life which is, I think, now de rigeur at the funerals of a certain generation
It was a very good turnout. Lots of people I hadn't seen in ages. If DMU hadn't knocked the pub down, we'd still all see each other most weeks, rather than once in a blue moon when someone diesComment

Got some venison so thinking of venison and black pudding ragu?
Will do the venison with thyme, rosemary, parsley and sumac, a few tulipake mushrooms and some sun dried tomato and tomato puree rather than passata as I want a nice thick sauce rather than the liquidy one I would normally do for a bolognese.
