Don't remember it being a "thing" when dad died (20 years ago), but the crem had marked the spot, so mother went in the same hole (mostly - a little bit of her got wiped on my jeans) Lovely morning for it and a very informal thing, not at all upsetting - glad we did it.

Dad went under an apple tree in the orchard of the National Trust property he volunteered at after he retired. Nothing formal, we dug the hole ourselves and there was nobody else there but us.

Mum has not so far expressed a preferance.

            Home again

These conferences and evenings out in Covent Garden are all well and good; but I prefer being at home

Just found out that the boss of a PC reseller I worked for in the dim and distant past got 2 and half years for fraud cos he failed to actually deliver any of the PC's we were selling at the time.

£1.5m worth by all accounts, and that was in 1997 when £1m was actually worth something

                    I'm inordinately tired today

I'd have a nap, but I'd just end up sleeping until the evening, then be unable to get to sleep tonight

Dinner's coming along. The steak will have finished thawing soon, and stage 2 of chip preparation has been completed
