Whereabouts will you be staying? Any activities lined up?

Its a friends birthday weekend and there are 5 couples going. 4.5 want to stay in the hotel and use the all inc to the max. I want to get the bus into Barca and visit the old town and stadium tour.
We are stopping in Lloret de Mar so its a good way out.

I really don't understand the logic of paying to fly somewhere, and then spending the entire time in the hotel (even if it has a few facilities).

Fully agree with you - get out and about and see something other than a swimming pool.
Apparently Gaudi's place is a really good visit, if you're looking for ideas - I heard they have some augmented reality tour that actually adds a lot.

Contract assessment has come back from qdos as a "borderline pass" - its been sent back for amendments.

+1. I used to throw the consultancy I was a permie at by booking early evening trains even if the meeting was clearly morning only.

Everyone else would then spend the afternoon on the train while I would do the churches and museums then catch a far cheaper fixed train back

Barca isn't that big. The stadium is a bit further out but easy enough to get to. Gaudi's house is well worth a vist, as is the Sagrada Famillia, you can do both walking through the old town and Las Ramblas.

There are plenty of tourist busses that you can hop on and off that will take you to all the major tourist spots.

And they have already replied and have agreed to make the changes. Just need to wait for the copy to come back

I did a couple of walking tours when I was there - one around the gothic quarter and one around lots of Gaudi sites. Well worth doing especially if the weather is nice, which I would expect it to be at this time of year. Also caught a Champions League game at the Nou Camp but if I hadn't done that I would have done the stadium tour.
