Morning All
After a drunken yet busy weekend in Barcelona followed by a frantic "too much to do" Monday, I'm back on the the mainland for a short week. Knackered!

Oh, FFS. Some idiot's told the scrum master about pair programming, so now he wants us to try it, even though it's completely inappropriate in the context of the stuff we're actually doing
My work consists mainly of spending several days reading open source libraries to find out how the damn things work, followed by a couple of days staring blankly into space, thinking. After that, I write about twenty lines of code, think about it for another few hours, then delete six of them and replace them with four. And then it's done.
How having somebody sat next to me prattling away with "useful" suggestions, or me sitting next to somebody else trying to stop them writing code before they've fully understood the problem domain, will improve productivity, only a manager could possibly imagineComment
