Made a nice change to be able to walk down to the Chinese without half-freezing, and with a bit of light still in the sky
Chicken & sweetcorn soup, beef in black pepper sauce, and egg fried rice. Very nice it was, tooComment

Haven't drunk any booze since Sunday. I think I'll have a beer and watch some televisual entertainmentComment

The super new ZeitTelly has concealed buttons wot let you tune it in to stuff in the absence of a functional zapper.
Or at least it would if two of the buttons were still there.
However, deft use of the end of a biro (other pens are available) allows tuning to proceed.
It's now tuned in to the two vcrs, the satellite receiver and the freeview box.
It's still sitting on the floor though.Comment

I've just had a bottle of Old Peculier.
It was very nice.
I think I'm becoming addicted.
That's two bottles this week.Comment

And now it's almost time to watch NCIS.
The original and best.
S3 of Longmire is on TCM this coming Sunday at 21:00 to 23:05.Comment

Got distracted by fiddling with a spreadsheet, working out a reasonable estimate of what my financial reserves will be at the end of this gig in July. I think I may take a nice, long break over the summer
Though knowing my luck they'll renew, and I'll just have to keep on adding more to it
Still, so much usually gets consumed on hotels and suchlike when working away; it's a pleasant change to see the reserves building up so rapidly
Now then: Breaking Bad, I thinkComment

Wondered if I was more drunk than I thought, then realised the telly was only blurry because I'd forgotten to shove my glasses down my nose. Better pour another glass.Comment
