I've had enough of linkedin and jobserve for day.

I"ve had one telephone interview this morning and I'm not sure how it went. I do know that the role is based in the North West, yet the same one is being advertised in the big smoke for twice the day rate.

Only problem is I can't seem to get hold of the agents for the London contract.

Have spent a less than fascinating couple of hours looking at IR receivers.

And why the new ones don't do what the old one did.

It's mostly down to the use of LED and CFL lamps that emit IR at about the 38kHz freqency that your average, run of the mill, TV/DVD/whatever remote does.

The old receiver would have got confused, the new ones, being much more complicated, don't get confused.

They just won't work with the remote applications that we've dreamed up.
