Afternoon/Evening All.
Sympathies to all who are suffering or have SOs or relatives that are.
Special sympathies to any that still have the in-laws staying over.
Any ailments I have are wholly self or willingly inflicted as yesterday was the 18th year/17th anniversary of our boys pub crawl on the 27th Dec. It's a time honoured tradition whereby someone decides a start pub/time, any dress code required and a route into town that includes a series of pubs. This person will have their choices heavily scrutinised with a specially slagging off if there aren't enough pool tables, dart boards etc. In years gone by we used to have an awards ceremony with typical categories including "Most disappointing son of the year" or "Worst stitch up" but now it's just a bunch of chaps, a bit flabby around the sides, demonstrating that they can't take their booze anymore.
The meet up was scheduled of 11:30. By 12:00 my phone was screaming with messages explaining exactly how much of a lightweight I was for not being in attendance yet. I got there at one and already they were re-hashing last year's arguments and name calling. By 9pm I was faced with the ever difficult casino or curry and chips dilemma. Judging by the cash in my wallet and the state of my shirt when I got home I didn't go to the casino.
We had arranged to all meet up for dinner with our SO tonight but everyone has carefully avoided mentioning it today. Not sure if I still have to go to Hong Kong to play rugby or learn how to snow-board this year though.
Despite the state I ended up in I was quite clearly not the "man of the match" nor even a podium position.
My whatsapp photostream shows some right sorry states.Comment

He who would be ZeitMog II is currently ensconced on the faux sheepskin rug in the front room.
They (cats) all like that rug.
It reminds them of mum.Comment

One is currently waiting for the oven to reach 200 deg C so one might be so bold as to stick one's Morrisons meatfeast pizza in there.
Along with 6 pigs in blankets.
I think I'll give the latter a bit longer cooking time today since yesterday's offerings, whilst dead, weren't as cooked as they might have been.Comment

Oven has reached ignition temperature & the comestibles have just been introduced to it.
10 mins for the pizzary goodness & 20 for the pigs inspaceblankets.Comment
