Cystoscopy was clear though which is good news - and the doc gave me a guided tour (with commentary) of the inside of her bladder which was quite interesting - pics were very clear. Ultrasound for the kidneys tomorrow. More festive fun.

Will be calling the NorOuders on xmas day, will probably get a story about Normater having nearly copped it again after yet a.n.other operation that she's had and how everything is so terrible and I didn't come home again ( it's been 11 years she might have got the hint by now!). I do feel sorry for my father sometimes.

What did you buy in the end?
      Cloudy bay Pinot noir

Tekoko sav blanc that was already in the wine rack.

And there's a couple of Louis jadot Pinot noirs and some puilly fume that might not make it To Xmas day.

Couldn't score any CB pinot as it's sold out in cloggers.

I do have a half bottle of Mersault and Pommard lined up for the big day.

The toast to absent friends at midday ( a tradition in Mr N's family as a tribute to his pater) will be with a bottle of Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2005 rose and with the cheese it's a '96 barbieto madeira.

Really pleased I got some proper cheddar today and some colston basset stilton.

Apart from the endless "When are we coming home" questions & the weeping when I left, it was all perfect.

              Thanks for asking.

Oh, and tonight's bible readings were as off the wall as you might like, Zechariah waffling on about candlesticks and olive trees and such like, while John on Patmos was busily having peculiar revelations.

It was chapters 1, 2, & 3 of Revelation so it hadn't really got going into the really off the wall stuff.

Mine still reads her own Bible. Doesn't seem to offer much in the way of encouragement though. Yesterday she asked me to pray for her to die. For some reason the doc has stopped her anti-depressants...
