Just caught the last twenty minutes or so of the Fake Sheikh programme on BBC 1. He sounds as unpleasant a character as Private Eye have led me to believe he was over the years.
I like the fact that his lawyers' last-minute attempt to get the BBC to withdraw the programme merely resulted in it being moved from a boring Monday slot to primetime on WednesdayComment

Just saw a photo on Google Image Search, thought "Hmm, that building seems familiar." I had the feeling it was somewhere I used to walk past years ago, maybe near a place I once lived, but hadn't seen in a long time.
Clicked on it for a better look, and read the caption. It's four doors up the road from meComment

Got meself a barbary duck in the market today.
Planning to take the legs off so I can confit them sous vide stylee.
Will just roast the rest of the duck as Normal. Bloke on the veg stall has given me some spuds that may work as roasters.Comment
