Made it to Brighton in the end

Set off just after five. As I was pulling in to the petrol station near the motorway to fill up, I realised I'd forgotten my heart tablets

It wasn't really a problem, as I sometimes forget to take them anyway and it's never caused me any bother; but I knew that, having remembered I'd forgotten them, I'd be nagged by the thought all the time. So I had to go home for them, then head back to the motorway

Finally made it to the starting line at about six and arrived just after eight thirty, so I reckon the shenanigans just meant that I missed a prolonged sit on the M25
