            End of an era: Yahoo drops development of YUI Important Announcement Regarding YUI | Yahoo Engineering

            It was contributing to YUI that landed me my gig at Yahoo Europe in 2007. Mind, I've scarcely used it since then

              And now I come to think of it, I signed up to CUK because of that gig, to seek advice about contracting directly with a client rather than through an agency. Most of my posts to TPD back then were made from Yahoo's offices on Shaftesbury Avenue. So I got that out of it too

              And my immediately-following gig at Capital Radio on Leicester Square came from a manager who was leaving Yahoo to go there.

              So, all in all, I didn't do too badly out of it.
