              He's no idea what he wants to at uni or for a job. I suspect maths will feature, but let's see how he goes over the next couple of years.

                In the ould sod, you do 7.
                These were GCSEs (age 16).

                A-levels are normally between 3 and 5 subjects, but there's a half way (AS level), so quite often kids will drop one subject after the first year.
