I used to ignore them, until they pointed out that these were mandatory for contractors as well as permies, and not doing them would involve in getting you marched off the property.
Yeah, that's probably a reasonable enough reason! We've been given special dispensation on this one, though I did have to attend a lovely HR H&S induction, though. 6 weeks after the start of the project
