Having already been infested with morons, I see CUK general is now being taken over by whiners who don't see the point of lots of things but do like to whine about them. I'm afraid it's now utterly crap and not even remotely funny any more. Doesn't even justify a flounce.

Hurrah!
After a) I remembered that I had some 12 bit DACs at home & b) I found them and c) brung some in, I now have a prox detector that alters the signal over an appreciable range from about 100mV to about 2.6V.
This should do the business & no mistake.

hmmm, just had a flurry of emails about meeting up with some boyos to watch the rugby 7s on Sat.
Someone has suggested we meet at 12 in a drinking establishment round the corner from the stadium. First game isn't until 19:15 FFS. I'll be asleep before the players have their boots on.
My day will go like this.
