Not sure if Wales operates the same way but in England Social Services will pay fees while you sort out finances like selling the house etc. Once thats done you pay them back, interest free.

Going to read a book. A proper one, with paper and ink and everything.

I've got the same book on Kindle, and on iBooks, and indeed as a PDF; but I like proper paper books best

Anyone been reading the 'Tales of Victorian Strangeness' on the BBC site?

BBC News - Victorian Strangeness: Strange tale of the 4 July firework disaster

Today's is a patchwork boy - brilliant stuff, they're all similarly bizarre.

I was making coffee when I thought of that - I was pondering the question of whether using a cafetiere involves brewing or steeping

I was reading Ethan Marcotte's Responsive Web Design. But the word "steeping" doesn't appear in there.
