    Ho hum.
After much frigging about empirical design & googling like fury, the proximity sensor looks like it will do what I want.

    Now to CAD it.

Bet it won't work on a pcb.

I'm awaiting delivery on one of these.

Amazon.com : Bike Peddler Take A Look Cycling Eyeglass Mirror (Original) : Helmet Mirror : Sports & Outdoors

It would be equally useful for swivelly lizard eyes.

Outdoor meat fire has been lit. Stoopid client calls means I'm an hour behind schedule already.

                Nah.

Oddly it's for a piece of art.

I do all sorts of odd designs for the arty types.

I was due for a medication review at the GP's, so I'd made an appointment for Monday morning at 9am.

Earlier on, I got a phone call from the surgery, offering me an appointment this afternoon instead - not on the grounds of convenience or anything, but because on Monday the normal GP is away and I would have to see "a lady doctor"

Obviously I don't care in the slightest if I see a "lady doctor". Still took the appointment this afternoon, because it means I don't have to get up early on Monday.

All very odd; I can only assume that many of their male patients don't like seeing "lady doctors", possible due to some cultural thing related to being of Indian descent or origins. Surprised the practise panders to such attitudes, though.

Mr ms just went to get his finger x-rayed. The radiologist (lady) asked if it was OK if she touched him.
