About twenty years ago I got nits off a girl I was seeing, who'd got them off her kid brother. I went into a small local chemist's, where the only other customer was an old chap of about seventy or more, hanging around waiting for a prescription.
I stood next to him at the counter and asked the assistant for shampoo for treating head lice. She said "Is it for a child?" and I said "No, it's for me."
He may have been getting on a bit, but that old boy shot off to the farthest corner of the shop like a greyhound out of the trapsComment

Used to get them occasionally when the kids were little. Haven't had them since youngest started secondary school, but if they do show up, I'll put them in a jar and send them to xog for safe harbour. Either that, or sprinkle liberally over LOUD PMs chair...Comment
