Hi Dallas
Good to meet up just now. Sorry I did not recognize you with your work clothes on.
Don't forget the links on the swimming and spiders.
And the book on "how to mend a puncture".....Comment

The chef at the place I'm taking Mrs P to has just posted on twitter that he's going live with a new tasting menu tonight. I've spent all morning looking at the old one agonising over which version to have, all for nothing.

Possible numpty question but here goes.
Are there any indigenous hardwoods that can't be used for smoking in a BBQ/Smoker?
If I buy chunks of apple or oak from a BBQ supplier I'm paying about £10 for 2.5Kg. However the seasoned hardwood I buy for my wood burning fireplace costs less that £5 for 10Kg. Obviously I don't know what type of wood the 2nd option is.
Does anyone know why I shouldn't just use the cheap stuff for cooking?
Just a thought cos I'm bored.Comment
