Back from the pub

The lass in charge tonight was pessimistic when I arrived: "If it carries on being dead, I might close early."

Then a large(ish) group of people came in, and one couple (female) announced their engagement; so there was no thought of closing early after that

She ended up encouraging me to the door by word and gesture some time after midnight, which was about an hour after I'd expected the place to shut
