Aye, you've got a lot on your plate so to speak.

          Morning denizens

Unannounced lane closure for a couple of miles on the A46, causing delays. No sign of any work being done, of course; not even an unattended JCB in a layby. Where's the Cones Hotline when you need it

All the permie development staff have just left for their annual (?) technology planning meeting. They've hired a room at the pub in the village, with lunch laid on. As a contractor, I get to stay here listening to the customer support people at the other end of the room laughing over some anecdote I couldn't hear, and plugging away at a bit of the project occasionally.

So, I've reissued my invoices AGAIN!

Lets hope they put through the right ones to the manager for approval this time!

I'm also sitting next to someone who is a tad ''aromatic''.

Am hoping they have lots of meetings today!
