It's afternoon. Perhaps I should get dressed.

Long weekend coming up; Friday and Monday free. I can now spend the rest of today and all of tomorrow linking requirements, 'test designs' and test cases in HP QC; oh the joys of CMMi, waterfall and HP QC.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

No. Tell her she should do some more research on it, and not just on HP's website.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostTest Manager here would kill for QC, shall I tell her that you have one spare she can use?And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

We tried that. She claims to have used it at her previous clientco where it was far better then the tools we have here.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostNo. Tell her she should do some more research on it, and not just on HP's website.
Granted she is currently working on a Microsoft world project using TFS so a whiteboard and notepad would be an improvement....merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

Right, look, what you need is some way to link a requirement to some test cases, and some way to report on which test cases passed and which ones failed. Maybe you want some graphs and pie charts and so on for showing illiterate managermen.Originally posted by eek View PostWe tried that. RTMR and RTH do this stuff and your charts can be made with a spreadsheet as provided in Open Office or by a large software company you've named. Any more is bumph, or in my case with HP QC, invoice fodder.
