    Morning.

    Also had porridge for breakfast.

First cycle outing of 2014 beckons. Going out with some lads from ClientCo who are younger/fitter/faster, so might wuss out after 10 miles or so if I can't keep up. Got some dorky neoprene overshoes for Christmas - doesn't seem that cold out, but my feet freeze so might give them a go too.

I hope you did better than I did yesterday. Only 45 miles. I need to raise my game.

I might even speak to Dallas about training!

Just discovered that John Lewis deliver more stuff to cloggers

Can now get decent bedding for the new house. They seem to have weird duvets here that don't have buttons at the end, it's loose fitting which is strange, well the quality ones anyway.

I miss shops like TK Maxx where you could get 400 thread count sheets for nowt.

I used to shop at TK Maxx as a contractor, great place to get top designers for nowt.

Also good to get top of the range wine glasses. Over here I pay full whack for spiegelau and Riedel.

They really make a difference in the cold weather. Just having something windproof on you feet means they stay much warmer.

Well it went better than I feared. Only a short ride (<20 miles) but there was a noob on a mountain bike, so I wasn't the slowest

Edit - feet still frozen, but I guess they were probably less frozen than without the dorky shoes - difficult to judge!
