Shopping all done now.
Need to make the fish stock for the soup today.
The jus I'll make tomorrow.
Will pretty much get everything prepped or cooked in advance, so that all I have to do is the venison on Wednesday.
I hate running around like a headless chicken on xmas day.Comment

Same here. We are going to my mums in Suffolk so Xmas dinner is aimed at being prepared in advance as much as possible with minimum effort on the day.
Meat will be cooked tomorrow morning, pressed in the fridge until we leave in the late afternoon. Just needs finishing in the oven on the day. Soup, purée and ice cream made today and refrigerated. Only thing that needs actually doing on the day are steamed veggies and dessert, which takes 20 mins to make and 30 to cook."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment
