Am in two minds currently about the new kitchen I've been designing, toying with the idea of an induction rather than gas hob.
As much as I love gas, I hate the idea of cleaning the damn thing, the idea of being able to wipe stuff down and also more even cooking appeals.
I was the same until we got an induction hob here (not on mains gas). It's great and I really don't miss gas at all now. It's especially useful for really low temp cooking as it's far more consistent than gas and you don't have to worry about it going out.
