            Great idea in theory. Our school used to set their own dates, so we had longer summer holidays and cheaper ski trips in February. However, once the whole country can do it, then there won't be the concept of a cheap holiday any more because it's in term time - just an excuse to increase prices all round.

            Plus the inconvenience of not having any schools synchronise their dates any more, so an increase in childcare costs.

                  Indeed. Its major progress. 3 weeks ago I had to take the DLR to tesco - 50m walk instread of 400m. Its still painful and I have a limp.
