Well, did some welding yesterday.

Of my permie gig? Seemed like an interesting enough role and company, but spent the whole of my first month fixing bugs in Perl, which I had no previous experience of. I understood I'd be learning it, but it's hard to debug code when you're still trying to understand the language in the first place. The first permie payslip was a bit of a shocker too
