        Change the design, and the function stops working.
        Technical lead has sent a diplomatically worded email - "although this is outside the scope of your work, we'd be grateful if you could take a quick look and point us in the right direction".

        i.e. "piss off, business, you aren't paying any more, and never mentioned that this even existed. If you want it changed, find someone to change it, or pay for TF's time!"
