I keep seeing nice recipes for things I'd like to eat on Christmas day

And then realize that I'm not going to get to eat / cook any of them this year because we're at the outlaws.

So it'll be chicken again, because f-i-l doesn't like turkey.

My line of "Turkey - it's a fat bastard chicken!" from the Fast Show was (a) unappreciated and (b) followed up with a dialogue about how they are completely different.

Sounds like you are in for a fun day! Don't forget to swot up on fart jokes, and buy the m-i-l a comedy vibrator (and don't forget the batteries)

Stopped getting the Sunday times ages ago when the articles became as bad as reading the sun

You can get the Telegraph over here which is good.
