yesterday I had to cancel a telephone interview as I did some sums and it didn't stack up. The agent was not best pleased as he said
"I was in pole position and the client wants you above the others". It was a permie role and would have involved living away.

Hmmm. Living away might be OK short-term and for a shit: load of money, but in your place I'd have done the same thing.

For some reason (Mrs 5*) doesn't want the value brand. She prefers finish but will settle for fairy.

Hmm, tried fairy tabs and found they left a horrible cloudy film on all my glasses. Always go for finish quantum and then use dishwasher cleaner once a month.

also wash the washing machine out with veingar once a month too.

A great day for setting up a webcam. Go on. You know you want to.

Right! Here’s the deal at current clientco.
A few contractors who seem to be very protective of their jobs and are milking it for everything they’ve got (permie like behaviour)
An interim director who seems to have p*ssed everyone off and keeps changing his mind every five mins therefore p*ssing people off even more.
Along comes me recruited by the IT director and it turns out the permanent IT manger already had someone lined up and he just happened to be out of the office when I was hired.

So it’s walking on eggshells here, as people are very cagey. And its setting up to look like it could be a potential nightmare.

I keep thinking that I’ve currently got a weeks notice.......
