Try not to get into speed reading, I did that whilst studying for my degree, it takes a long time to get out of the habit. -
I did so too at college, and found it had a detrimental effect on my fiction reading. It did indeed take me a while to get out of the habit. Now I can't really speed-read on paper any more. Though if given summat to read that is work related, I can pick the salient points out rather quickly without having to bore myself too much.Comment
