I couldn't find a copy of my old web site that was - and is- hosted on some free web space, so I went to download it all again.
Unfortunately, I could only FTP in if I was using the ISP's dialup number - and as I don't have a modem for the MacBook, and don't have a phone line, I was momentarily stymied
However, it turned out to be very easy to configure my old Nokia phone to act as a dialup modem via Bluetooth; the MacBook was then able to use that, I dialled in (0845 rates...) and, for the expenditure of about eight quid in calltime, downloaded everything
Having done that, I switched back to the 3G modem and went to catch up on TPD. I didn't even realise a century was in the offingComment
