I made a minor detour into the edge of Northampton on the way back to get some petrol and shopping at Sainsbury's. I'd forgotten how odd the denizens of Northampton are

Certainly they're considerably less competent at the seemingly simple task of getting around a supermarket on a Saturday without constantly walking into people, or ramming them with trolleys, than the inhabitants of most places I've been. Maybe they realised I was an outsider and just did it to me, though

Thanks all. My mum is now home, and my sis has come down from Wales to stay with her. My Dad has suspected pneumonia
