beaver camp is good for the kids and all the adults got on well, especially after a boat load of booze.

in a word - WET.

We pitched on Friday evening before the rain, then when we got to the tent on saturday the tent had leaked.... so it is in a bag and getting binned

Sounds brilliant. We're just in the process of acquiring a 12 person tent - it may take a while longer to actually summon the courage to take our horde camping though.

Local? There's a big camping area for beavers, cubs, scouts etc. just down the road from us.
