      Greeting denizens

I notice that after the recent posts beneath the "Reply to Thread" form into which I am typing this, it says:
This thread has more than 10 replies. Click here to review the whole thread. (My emboldening.)

I'm not sure the bandwidth allowance on my 3 modem could cope with reviewing "the whole thread"

Of course, Tim Berners Lee pointed out in 1992 that one shouldn't be saying things like "Click here" in hypertext.

Yet combating this can still be a daily battle with many content managers and marketing departments

Anyway, the Shipping Forecast is heading towards its conclusion, so I shall bid you all goodnight

What a strange rule to impose on the world.

Following that rule would result in unpredictable link behaviour.

Is that a new rule too? Bed straight after the shipping forecast?

Do we need to put all these rules in a book?

Should we have a thread "The New Rules"?

                      Good Morning !
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
