Whwn my hen was broody I got some eggs from a local farmer who 'guaranteed' they would be fertilized - I did get her to sit on these and just over half hatched.

Thanks for that Zara, looks interesting - I'll pass that on to Lady VF. She's had some advice on one of her forums to lock Betty out of the Eglu for a bit, but now Betty is just moping around the garden looking very sorry for herself.
