I agree, until last year my DS was still into the night garden, it must have written by people on drugs, it is just not normal, even by cbeebies standards.

At least Muffin the Mule and Cap'n Pugwash were written by ordinary everyday perverts.

Not the slightest bit keen - it's basically a temping job doing bits and bobs of (predominantly maintenance) work, not getting stuck into a project and making something new

But it does add a little to the coffers whilst waiting for something better to come along... a bit like fixing fruit machines but a good deal more remunerative... (£6/hr... )

Wandered over to Halfords in Neath on the way home & got myself one of those 3 legged oil filter wrench thingies... since it was in the remainder bin I got it for £9.99 instead of £17...

Didn't work of course coz the oil filter was no longer round...

So I then discovered that I could get the blade of a looooong screwdriver between the aircon compressor mounting bracket and the exhaust manifold and get it to touch the rim of the filter.

A couple of sharp taps (read hefty thumps) with a rubber mallet & the fliping thing came undone.

The gorilla who had fitted it had put it on so tight that the sealing ring was flush with the metal of the filter... truly amazing considering the space available.



And since it had been sitting there since yesterday there wasn't much oil in the filter so no mess to clean up...

New one is back on, hand tight...

A bit like that...
