Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket? -
Right, that's enough drivel from me. In fact that's probably more than enough drivel from me. Night folksWhere are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?Comment

Greetings denizens
That there Cat... I'm not sure what to make of her
If I was twenty years younger I'd be chancing my arm and taking a knock-back with good grace, but with such a disparity of age, one feels that the affection and such that she displays for one may be more to do with regarding one as somebody to talk to without all that gubbins getting in the way
I think I'm in a similar position to Zeity and his lustee, but with a greater age difference.
Ah well, time will tellComment

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
It was amazing to witness the imbecility of drivers in the face of the diversion away from the main road junction closure today
They get warned to divert about a mile away. They don't.
About a quarter of a mile away, they get another chance. They don't.
A few hundred yards later, they get their final chance.
They don't
As a result, they all finish up having to take the final diversion up the side road at the point where the road is closed, which is just after here.
Cue queueComment

BTW, we're not talking about a tiny little "Diversion" sign at the side of the road here - entire lanes of dual carriageways are coned off to force them into the lane where they should turn off.
They simply carry on rather than turning.
Some of them (mainly the 4x4 drivers) even pull out into the second lane and zoom at high speed towards the roadworks, where they screech to a halt and have to squeeze back into the queue to turn left.
I can only assume that they are either selfish bastards, or never look more than three feet in front of their bonnet. Either way, they're imbecilesComment
