Incredibly! Next week looks busy too : its the new role at clientco.

Oddly I prefer it like this : the days go quickly.....

It is nice to be busy. I would quite enjoy a nice project to get my teeth into now. I may have to invent one.

Microsoft put on an extremely good spread when I went to their place in Reading for a one-day conference the other year

Shame they didn't just stick with the catering business rather than branching out into software

I attended Tech Ed (at ClientCo's expense) in Nice a good few years back. On the last night there M$ put on a meal for all the attendees in a massive hall, with freeze booze. After the meal there was a loud fanfare, and a curtain the back of the hall dropped to reveal a fairground

I'd had quite a lot of the free beer by this point, so gave a lot of the more stomach churning rides a miss. The night wound down with a couple of cups of coffee in a street Cafe at 2.00am.

The final day of the conference was very quiet. I found the session with the most comforable chairs ("Advanced ISAPI Filters" or something like that) and got a few hours kip. I think the session had changed (at least once) before I woke up.
