The initial production run of the first Macintosh reputedly have the signatures of the design team burned in to the inside of the case.

No "reputedly" about it - they did that on a number of models.

I was round a friend's place some years ago when he had a Mac opened up - might have been a IIcx. That had the team's signatures moulded into the inside of the plastic too
