I had a lovely big bit of MDF as the baseboard for my train set. Getting it home from B&Q round London's North Circular tied to the roof rack was an 'interesting' experience.
We got home to Hemel Hempstead (why we didn't use a local DIY store I now forget), we managed to get it round the bend in the stairs and up in the loft.
Then I got a job somewhere else and we had to move. The removals men could not get it down the stairs and so borrowed a neighbour's saw and cut it into two bits.

But I got some tomato soup in the end - and I have to say it is yum!!
Havn't had hoops in years, literally. The Present Lady DB is Ceoliac so the only wheat/gluten based stuff we have in the house thse days is a loaf of regular bread for me and boy for lunchtime sandwiches.
